I hear all the time from my incredible clients that they were hesitant to reach out to me at first because they knew they were not prepared to make a complete overhaul of their lifestyle! Now they see that working with me is such a breeze and that the changes are completely customized, approachable and take their whole life situation into account, so the pressure is non-existent.
First off, there is no judgement coming from me. So please stop judging yourself on not living up to some imaginary ‘wellness standards’ that pop culture has us aspiring to. Honestly no one does, and those that maybe do are not likely going to live that way for ever - or hey maybe a very strict lifestyle does resonate with some people, but for the rest of us there has to breathing room to adapt a few more things here and there as we go and be more than ok with it. Seriously we are stressing ourselves out by feeling like we are not ticking all the wellness boxes! How crazy is that? Totally counterintuitive to wellness I promise you, it is all about taking the pressure off.
Second, the whole point of my Sustainable Integrated Wellness Approach is that the positive shifts you make are so small and gradual that it literally just becomes a part of who you are. My mission is to help powerful women give themselves permission to prioritize their optimal wellness by making wellness a way of life, not a checkmark on their to do list. With small customized shifts they leave newly empowered with magnetic energy and confidence to feel good in their own skin, so that they stay true to themselves and show up for their biggest goals consistently and sustainably while avoiding burnout.
Thirdly, there is no one-size-fits-all wellness! I think this is another reason clients hold off on working with me because they just know they are not going to start having smoothie bowls everyday, and they don’t want to feel like they are ‘failing’ at wellness right off the bat. Every single client is different, every single session is tailored to what my clients need at that moment in their journey. No two bodies are alike, no two lifestyles and certainly no two wellness lifestyles - because in order for it to be a lifestyle it cannot be something you feel bad about when you don’t follow through.
It is about finding the wellness tools and habits that really work FOR YOU, and make sense TO YOU so much so you are like, heck yeah Megan I love that idea! That’s all I have to do to start glowing from the inside out?!
